This traditional secretarial skill is still very much in demand despite all the technology available today.

Having a minute taker in the room gives the write up of the meeting a human touch which we all still need, and we can now connect very easily online to attend virtually, widening our reach, along with the added benefit of being able to record the meeting.

The minutes capture attendees, apologies and if people join and leave during the meeting, along with the key points, decisions and actions. This gives the board a clear guide as to what was said and who is to carry out the actions giving the owner accountability.

At Sharon Vickery Virtual Assistant you will receive:

  • Confidentiality assured
  • 5 working-day turnaround
  • Work to a provided template (if required)
  • Normal office hours of 9 til 5 (out of hours can be available)

Just to give you an idea of costing we allow 1 - 1.5 hours of compilation time of the minutes to 1 hour of the meeting. For example a 2-hour meeting will cost about 5 hours.

Rates

£32 per hour
£37 per hour (before 9 am and after 5 pm)

Board Administration

This is a super handy add-on task to really utilise your minute taker.

If you need someone to link comms between your SMT and Board of trustees then a board administrator could be the answer and there is no better way to do this than with your minute taker.

 

The Board Administrator can help with the following:

Send out invitations to the meeting

Remind the CEO and other management staff to provide their reports by the designated time

Collate company information from other staff that can be dropped into the organisational report for the quarter

Prepare the agenda outline for it to be padded out by the SMT

Arrange and number the reports as per the agenda

Send out the board packs in good time for the meeting

Send reminders to all members to confirm attendance
